Preschool
St. Dominic School offers preschool programs for 3 and 4 year old students. The 3 year old program consists of two mornings a week on Tues./Thurs. The 4 year old program consists of three mornings per week (Mon/Wed/Fri). (8:45am-11:45am).
We offer an enhanced program where children will be exposed to music, art, French, and field trips in our local community.
Programs provide learning through play and rich oral language opportunities.
Preschool children benefit from access to school equipment and facilities such as the library, gymnasium, music room, art room and playground.
Our program infuses Catholic-Christian values and moral intelligence principles into daily activities.

Is Your Child Ready for Preschool?
Preschool Readiness Requirements:
Independent Washroom Use: Children must be fully independent in the washroom, including managing clothing and basic hygiene. Pull-ups are not permitted, with the exception of students supported through our inclusive education programs.
Ability to Express Needs: Children should be able to express their needs, such as asking for help, sharing ideas with teachers and peers, or communicating when they need support.
Social Skills: A willingness to engage with other children and participate in group activities is encouraged to help foster collaboration and a sense of community.
Foundational Motor Skills: Familiarity with simple tasks, such as holding a crayon, using scissors, or tidying up after activities, supports a smoother transition into classroom routines.
