In honor of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, staff and students at Assumption School decorated over 700 feathers to create a display for our hallways. A cross of remembrance and wings of hope are displayed proudly at the entrance to our cafetorium. While creating their piece of art, students were asked to reflect on the experiences of the over 150, 000 students who attended residential schools in the past, many of whom never returned home. A special thank you to Mrs. Noseworthy and her class for piecing this together.
