
Students, in Steam 8, at AJSH are learning all about physics and team work!! Each group worked together to create a roller coaster, reliant upon gravitational potential energy, to propel a glass marble along its track. Way to go Grade 8s!







Dungeons & Dragons Club is in full slaying speed!






~ Students and staff at AJSH have been busy handing out stickers and notes this month to "encourage" positive attitudes and to recognize acts of kindness, empathy, fairness and respect. Thank you AJSH family for "encouraging" and fostering positive relationships.









The 10 Prep class has been busy playing games to help practice multiplying and subtracting polynomials! The competitive spirit is high!





Foods 20 students have been busy creating amazing fresh bread products. They have made fresh tortillas, baking powder biscuits, yeast buns and pasta from scratch!!! Carb heaven!!!!





Grade 11 and 12 Crusaders are visiting the ELAA Fair at the Energy Centre today where a number of post-secondary institutions have information booths set up to tell prospective students what they have to offer!






Students and staff at AJSH, along with Kanyon's dog, participated in the Terry Fox run last week in support of loved ones and in support of Terry's vision – a world without cancer.






Last week, grade 10 religion students toured the Cold Lake Food Bank helping sort the donations from Hungry for Change, pack Hampers, and learn more about how they can volunteer to this amazing organization! In honor of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation, staff and students at Assumption School decorated over 700 feathers to create a display for our hallways. A cross of remembrance and wings of hope are displayed proudly at the entrance to our cafetorium.
While creating their piece of art, students were asked to reflect on the experiences of the over 150, 000 students who attended residential schools in the past, many of whom never returned home. A special thank you to Mrs. Noseworthy and her class for piecing this together.




A HUGE congratulations to our Grade 7/8 boys on their tournament WIN this weekend!! Way to go Crusaders!!


Senior students at Assumption whipped up some delicious fall soup and homemade buns in Foods class this week. The aroma that filled the hallways was "soup-er" inviting. Well done!
